Rev. Rodney McFarland, Jr., MDiv.
Rev. Rodney McFarland, Jr. is a native of Monroe, Louisiana, and a dedicated servant-leader with a passion for ministry, music, leadership, and community impact.
He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service Administration from Southern University at Shreveport, Louisiana, a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry Leadership with a concentration in Biblical Studies from LeTourneau University of Longview, Texas, and a Master of Divinity from Regent University School of Divinity of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Rev. McFarland currently serves as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Bracktown in Lexington, Kentucky, and has previously served as Senior Pastor of the Hebron Baptist Church in Longview, Texas, and the Mt. Ollie Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York.
He is a traveling evangelist and an independent recording artist who has released three musical projects; He’s Sweet I Know, Make Sure, and his latest single, Old Rugged Cross.
Rev. McFarland has been featured on the album, Miracles with Pastor John David Wright & the New York Fellowship Choir singing the song, Heaven. He has also served on the “Late Night” Preaching Auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., and as Conference Worship Leader for the Christian Educators’ Conference of the Sunday School Publishing Board.
In addition to ministry, Rev. McFarland is a licensed funeral director in Louisiana and Kentucky, and serves as Second Vice President of McFarland Funeral Companies in Monroe, Louisiana. He is also the Founder of Voice to Vision Solutions, Inc., a leadership and mentoring non-profit providing life-skills training and character development to schools and organizations. Rev. McFarland is devoted to the sacred call of civic engagement and community justice in the commonwealth of Kentucky. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina. Rev. McFarland is married to the love of his life, Falon McFarland, and they are the proud parents of three children: Ava, Bella, and Rodney III.
